Decosurf solid wood surfboard artwork is handcrafted in beautiful South Florida, USA by the father and son team: M.Shine a master craftsman / fabricator and J.Shine a local South Florida artist with exhibits in Europe, Asia, South America, and of course the U.S.A. featured in magazines and renowned in the world of art. Surf style artwork has become a very popular form of home and business décor. The surfboard style wall-art started out as a souvenir type novelty item sold at beach resort stores.
Due to its inherent symbolism of fun in the sun and freedom, the surf board has found its way into the main stream of casual décor in venues such as living rooms, bedrooms, family rooms, Tiki bars, restaurants, hotels, and wherever else the image of fun is sought to be conveyed. The artists start with a solid piece of naturally harvested 3/4" thick pine wood, and then cut and contour every board individually. This lengthy process is followed by careful analysis of wood grain lines, in order to achieve the perfect balance between nature and creative art when designing each board.
Surfboard Artwork is available in any color/motif combination imaginable and can be tailored to your specific desires. No two boards are ever alike. Each board is finished with a thick protective varnish to assure lasting protection of the artwork.
